Amppeliteline / flower stand

Osti kukan, merkki ja malli tuntematon. Kukkaruukussa oli ilmiselvä koukku ripustusvihjeenä. Mutta meilläpä ei ollut sellaista paikkaa, mihin kukan olisi voinut ripustaa. Se piti siis tehdä.

I bought a flower, make and brand unknown. There was an obvious hint, a hook. But we did not have a place to hang it. I needed to make one.




Päätin ripustaa kukkaruukun ketjun päähän. Ketju vain puuttui, joten aikani etsittyäni löysin vanhoja ikkunahakoja ja avainlenkkejä ja niistä tein ketjun.

I decided to hang the flower from a chain. But I did not have a chain, so I needed to do that first. I found some old window latches.

 Ketjun toinen pää oli hyvä kiinnittää johonkin tukevaan, joten vaakalautaa peliin.

The other end of the chain needed something strong, so a horizontal board did the trick.

Laudan toisen pään ruuvaasin seinään. mutta toinen pää repsotti orvelosti. Siksi tein sille vinotuen.

The other end of the board I screwed to the wall, but the other end was loose. So I made a support for that.







Mutta ei tuo rakennelma vieläkään ollut kovin tukeva ja ottaen huomioon tämän kesän säät, päätin tehdä kukkaselle varoiksi katon. Tiedä millaista lunta ja räntää on vielä luvassa.

But the structure was still not very rigid and having noticed the weather conditions this summer (snow, hail) I decided to build a roof to the flower.


Sitten silmäni osuivat katon alle jäävälle seinälle: olipas tylsän näköinen.

Then I noticed that the space below the roof beams looked rally dull.



Jäljellä oli vielä vähän lautaa, joten pätkin sen kolmeen osaan, hieman kyytiä sähkötyökaluilla ja laudat seinään. Tässä ovat laudat työprosessin eri vaiheissa.

 I had still some timber left, so I installed some decorative boards. Here are the boards in their different phases.

Nyt ei näytä niin tylsälle.

So now it does not look so dull.

(Teknisistä asioista kiinnostuneita saattaa kiinnostaa tietää, että näillä koristelaudoilla on myös tukifunktio jos myrsky sattuisi nostamaan katon etulaitaa, mutta muille se on täysin tarpeeton yksityiskohta.)
